Some of the modern forms of communication are discussed below:-

Fir transmitting the message a document is fed in the fax machine which is converted into electrical signals, these signals are transmitted through telephone lines to another fax which reconverts these signals into printed put hard copy. Then the receiving fax machine sends a message confirming the receipt of entire message.

  • TELECONFERENCING
It is an interactive group communication through telecommunication such as telephone, computer based equipment or Internets etc. A teleconferencing is a telephone meeting among two or more persons involving technology more sophisticated than telephone connections. It can bring people together under on roof even though they are separated by hundred of miles. At the simplest form a teleconference can be an audio exchange of talks among two or more persons sharing a speaker phone. Teleconferencing can be audio conferencing, computer conferencing and video conferencing.

  • VIDEO CONFERENCING
It allows group of people and individuals sitting at different locations to hold interactive meetings by using telecommunication of audio and video. This technology overcomes the disadvantages of the voice or data and provides real feel of the conversation by adding visual part in that. It is a powerful business tool that facilitates a virtual visual meeting environment between tow or more participatants located at different sites by using computer networks or smart phones. Videoconferencing, however, is the closest it gets to seeing and hearing one another without being present together. The technologies used in a video conference are: monitor screen, camera, microphone, codec (compressor-decompress or), equipment control pad at each location, and internet connectivity. With the passage of time, this is becoming more popular and easier to use.
  • E-MAIL
E-mail or electronic mail transmits the written message via computers connected on networks. Email is by far the cheapest and fastest means of sending printed information (verbal as well as non-verbal). At one click of the button, hundreds of pages of information can be sent to hundreds of email addresses worldwide (to be noted by receivers upon checking the incoming mail or inbox). No paper is required. Messages can be created directly on the computer, and added on from different computer files, CDs, floppies, etc.
  • SMS (SHORT MESSAGE SERVICES)
SMS is a communication service standardized in the GSM mobile communication system that enables to send and reveive text message among different mobile phones. The text may be in the form of words or numbers or an alphanumeric combination. SMS was first created when it was incorporated into Global System for Mobiles (GSM) digital mobile phone standard. We are all aware of the uses of text messaging. They are short and a good way to communicate small bits of information that can be received and replied to at their own leisure. These days people are rarely not within arm’s reach of their mobile device so it isn’t a surprise that more people are using their smartphones then computers so it is a perfect platform to engage with your audience..
